Oral Presenter Award- Maternal and Child Nursing Category

Assistant Professor Kenny-lynn Baccay, a faculty member of the University of the Philippines College of Nursing, was awarded the Best Oral Presentation during the 14th International Nursing Conference held on November 3, 2023 in Seoul, South Korea1. The conference was organized by the Korean Society of Nursing 1.

Assistant Professor Baccay’s presentation was titled “Predictors of Family Planning Practices of Teen Mothers in Manila, Philippines” 2. The study aimed to identify the predictors of family planning practices among teen mothers in Manila, Philippines 2. The study found that the most significant predictors of family planning practices among teen mothers were age, educational attainment, and knowledge of family planning methods 2.

Assistant Professor Baccay is a specialist in maternal and child nursing and has published several research papers on the subject 34. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of the Philippines Manila 3.
