Congratulations, Prof. Ludy!

Professor Lourdes Marie Tejero has been reappointed as the Director of the University of the Philippines Manila’s Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) 1. The TTBDO is responsible for managing the intellectual property of the university, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights 1.

Professor Tejero is a highly accomplished academician with a PhD in Nursing from the University of the Philippines Manila 1. She is also a Master of Translational Medicine from the University of California Berkeley and a Master of Arts in Nursing from the University of Asia and the Pacific 1. She has been the Dean of the University of the Philippines College of Nursing and is a specialist in nursing administration 1.

As the Director of the TTBDO, Professor Tejero manages more than 100 inventions from faculty, staff, and students and ensures their patentability and intellectual property protection 2. She is also responsible for promoting the commercialization of these inventions and facilitating their transfer to industry partners 2.

Professor Tejero’s reappointment as the Director of the TTBDO is a testament to her expertise and dedication to the university’s mission of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship 1. We wish her all the best in her continued service to the university and the community it serves.
