Maria Cecilia E. Punzalan, MA, RN, a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Nursing BSN Class of 1990 and MA Nursing Class of 1999, has been appointed as the new Deputy Director for Nursing of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
Ms. Punzalan has a wealth of experience in the nursing field, having served as a nurse for many years. She was previously the Chief of the Division of Nursing Research and Development (DNRD) at the PGH.
As the new Deputy Director for Nursing, Ms. Punzalan will be responsible for overseeing the nursing services provided by the hospital. Her appointment is expected to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the hospital’s nursing department.
