The Advanced Course in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing in the Inpatient Setting has concluded successfully, equipping 56 participants from all over the Philippines with a comprehensive understanding of the field and enhancing their skills and knowledge in caring for individuals with mental health disorders.
This 45 CPD accredited points intensive and immersive online course was delivered through 5 weeks of asynchronous module-guided sessions and 1 week of in-person workshops. The advanced course covered therapeutic interventions for different types of maladaptive behaviors, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, inpatient ward management, community reintegration and rehabilitation, and interprofessional collaboration.
During the in-person workshop, the participants engaged in practical exercises, case studies, and simulations to develop their clinical assessment and intervention skills. Further enhancing their evidence-based practices, therapeutic communication techniques, and other management strategies.
