Pre-enlistment and Enrollment
Academic registration at the University of the Philippines involves a two-step process: (1) pre-enlistment and (2) enrollment (or enlistment). During pre-enlistment, the student is required to secure slots for the subjects he/she intends to enroll in. This is important to determine the demand for subjects which would allow concerned Departments to adjust the number of sections offered for each course. Pre-enlistment is usually done through the Student Academic Information System and occurs several days prior to the actual enrollment (or enlistment) period.
During enrollment, the student finalizes his/her subjects for the semester and this process includes approval of enrolled subjects by registration advisers. The registration advisers are primarily the adviser of the batch the student belongs to and any other faculty assigned by the College Secretary. The schedule of enrollment is announced several weeks prior and students are advised to follow the schedule strictly.
