The University of the Philippines, including the UP College of Nursing, has a long-standing track record of producing excellent and skilled professionals who have contributed significantly to their respective fields. I chose UP with the hopes of maximizing my potential and building a solid foundation for my future career as a professional with the help of the top-class and holistic education that the university offers to its students so that I may one day join the ranks of its alumni that contribute to the progress of our field and our country.

Generally speaking, the memorable experiences I have encountered during my stay in the College are all from the clinical rotations both in the community and the hospital. The learnings, experiences, as well as all of the people I have encountered during these rotations, are all unique and have all helped in developing the skills and competencies that I need to have as a future nurse. Among these experiences, the practical application of various clinical skills during the rotations in PGH is the most memorable experience I had. It is through these practical applications where I learned how to administer medications, learn how to properly communicate, and, most importantly, how to provide holistic nursing care and management that can greatly benefit the improvement and the outcomes of the health of the patients.
